Portsmouth’s premium outlet shopping centre Gunwharf Quays is preparing for the Easter holidays, with five exciting events and activities lined up for shoppers, diners, and visitors. Here’s what to expect:

1) Easter dining treats

Kids eat free at Frankie and Benny’s this Easter Sunday — we recommend the meatballs, just like mamma used to make — and Giraffe are offering a kid’s meal deal including a main and a drink for just £5.65.

Got a sweet tooth? Head over to Carluccio’s deli shop to get your chocolate fix from a wide selection of Easter goodies, including chocolate bunnies, white chocolate geese with golden eggs, and spring-themed Easter baskets.

 2) Family fun at Bowlplex

As well as fun-packed family bowling sessions, Bowlplex are hosting face-painting, treasure trails, competitions, and appearances from mascots Bumper and Squeak this Easter.

A ‘Bowl over the Bunny’ game will be running from 4:00pm through 6:00pm during the Easter holidays, giving families the chance to win Easter treats.

When the whole family has enjoyed a solid session of bowling — and someone has mentioned that strike they got for the twentieth time — head down into Gunwharf’s central square, where their vintage carousel will be back by popular demand.

3) Air Max Day at Nike

On 26th March, the Nike store in Gunwharf Quays are offering lucky shoppers the chance to win a pair of Air Max trainers. There’ll be competitions running throughout the day, and up to 50% off children’s and adult’s Air Maxes.

4) Getting artistic at Aspex Gallery

Little ones are invited to become artists at Aspex this Easter, at the gallery’s holiday workshops, including a special mini-makers workshop for preschool children with storytelling and children’s entertainment, a young artist’s workshop for those aged 11 – 15, and a holiday art club for youngsters aged 8 through 11. Visit the Aspex website for more details.

Miniport Portsmouth

5) Easter on the water

Miniport’s small vessels are huge fun to drive around for all ages. Each miniature ship is electrically-powered and very easy to control — no prior experience at the helm is needed! The boats will be out on the Gunwharf Quays stream during the holidays. An incredibly fun family experience.

You can also head down to the Gunwharf Quays marina for a 20-minute adrenaline-filled blast of a ride on a rib, taking in the sights of the Portsmouth waterfront.
