Auditions for the Lost Plays of World War One at The Kings Theatre
On Sunday 21st May Portsmouth’s Kings Theatre are hosting auditions for their latest project, The Lost Plays of World War One, in conjunction with the Theatre of War project.
As part of the Project, the Kings Theatre will be recreating a play that was performed on stage 100 years ago. Lads of the Village is a spy comedy set in the WW1 and is a cross between Blackadder and Allo Allo. There is lots of dressing up, mistaken identity and musical hilarity!
Celebrating the Kings Theatre’s 110th Anniversary, they would like invite members of the public aged 18 years and upwards to attend an audition on Sunday 21st May, where you will be asked to perform a short monologue and song that they will provide.
Monday 10th July – Dress Rehearsal
Wednesday 12th July – Performance at the Kings Theatre 10.30am/ 2.30pm
Rehearsals will take place once a week on either a Sunday or Monday TBC
So join the Kings Theatre on Sunday 21st May from 10am through 4pm for auditions to be in their Lost Plays of World War One.
