No. 6 Cinema, Portsmouth’s only independent filmhouse, stream a live Royal Shakespeare Company production of Antony & Cleopatra on Wednesday 24th May, from 7:00pm.

Following Caesar’s assassination, Mark Antony has reached the heights of power. Now he has neglected his empire for a life of decadent seduction with his mistress, Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt. Torn between love and duty, Antony’s military brilliance deserts him, and his passion leads the lovers to their tragic end.

No. 6 Cinema have teamed up with the Midships Cookhouse at Boathouse No. 4, also sited in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, to make this evening even more special, offering pre-event dining in the site’s newest venue.

The package includes food and entry to the event for the inclusive price of £26.00 per person. The fully-accessible restaurant is situated on the top floor of the boathouse, with fine views overlooking HMS Warrior and Portsmouth Harbour.

Three main menu options are available:

  • Crayfish tail, macaroni and cheese, green salad, and rustic bread
  • Hampshire Lamb burger, feta, pickles, red onion, lettuce, tomato, with chunky chips and spicy hummus
  • Roasted heirloom beetroot salad, goats’ cheese, rocket, pistachios, and citrus honey dressing (vegetarian)

The bar at Boathouse No. 4 will be open from 4:30pm, and dinner will be served from 5:00pm. There will be options for starters and desserts which may be ordered at the restaurant for an additional charge.

Screening-only tickets are available for £15.00, and doors open at No. 6 Cinema from 6:00pm.
