Edele Lynch from B*Witched and Sid Sloane of CBBC fame will take lead roles in The Kings Theatre Southsea’s Easter pantomime production of The Pirates of Treasure Island, a swashbuckling adventure packed with treasure maps, bearded one-legged pirates, tropical islands, parrots, mutiny, and the dreaded black spot!

Edele Lynch was launched to fame in 1997 with girl band B*Witched, enjoying success with four UK number-one hits. She has since been a part of ITV’s Big Reunion and Tour, and has been featured on Celebrity Apprentice Ireland and placed sixth in Celebrity Big Brother.

Sid Sloane, meanwhile, was one of the original presenters of CBeebies who launched the show in 2002. He is one of the country’s best-loved children’s presenters, and features regularly on CBBC. He’s also known for his numerous pantomime appearances.

Also joining the cast are popular performers Ant Payne, Robert Pearce, and Janette Amos.

This adaptation of a classic tale blends the best of storytelling, pantomime, and musical theatre into a spectacular adventure for the whole family.
