Exciting times for Old Portsmouth
Team Locals have had quite a few meetings over the past weeks with various members of the Portsmouth City council and we can confirm plans they have for the city are going to make everyone really proud be be part of the ongoing renovation & modernisation project!
We were invited by Portsmouth Council to have a sneaky peek around the battlements and forgotten corridors of Old Portsmouth.
It really is a great place to be, absolutely steeped in history and with so many little UN-used nooks and hidden rooms to be discovered as you can see from the pictures.
The council have some big plans for the area and asked us to devise some ideas to get local businesses involved in creating an attraction for the locals and visitors to the area to enjoy.
The already massive Love Southsea markets at the Square Tower will be expanding into this front area of the Hot Walls to create a vibrant market full of boutique sellers and food stalls. This promises to be something special and just walking around the area today in the sun showed the area to it’s full potential. I spy a unique food, boutique European style market on the horizon!
There are loads of cool features that the council have planned like this old lookout window being re-opened up with thick glass for viewing directly onto the busy harbour mouth out to the Solent.

Any ideas that you guys have would be greatly received and I can assure you that the council are trying to make this area as interesting and ‘used’ as possible. Drop us a line with any suggestions and we will do our best to get things in motion.
In the mean time have a look at all the amazing pictures of the area we took today. I can’t wait to see this progress over the coming years.
Check out some of the great spaces we were shown today, soon to be opened up for all to enjoy……..
