Express FM’s Darren Gamblen interviews Alesha Dixon
This week Alesha Dixon made an appearance at Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth to help promote the new electric hybrid car from Nissan.
This was just any light switch on. For one night only, the Spinnaker Tower lights were powered by the charge from a Nissan LEAF, the world’s first mass-produced 100% electric family car and Alesha helped to light up the Tower.
The acclaimed vehicle, which provides up to 109 miles on one charge, has been specially converted to allow the power of the battery to be extracted.
The event was staged as part of Nissan’s The Big Turn On campaign, an initiative designed to raise awareness of the low-carbon benefits of 100% electric vehicles.
A live performance by the popular singer and campaign ambassador followed the big turn on.
