Help for Locals in Murder Investigation of Southsea Body
The local Portsmouth Community Surgery bus will be at the seafront this week behind the Pyramids centre following on from the discovery of a dead body on Southsea beach this week.
The team will be there at the scene of the grisly discovery earlier this week accompanied by local police.
If you have any concerns, information or would like to know what is happening with regards to this incident then the Surgery are on hand to help with all issues.
Local police are calling for all locals to check friends, relatives and anyone who they haven’t spoken to for a while as they continue to identify the discovered body.
A Home Office pathologist was due to conduct a post-mortem on the body, which had no head, legs or arms, in a bid to identify it from DNA.
Det Chief Insp Dick Pearson – “Our inquiries today are focusing on identifying the body, which we believe to be male, and how it came to be on the beach, including the possibility that it may have washed up with the tide.
