Seafront management services cleaning the beach front at Southsea have discovered a leg thought to be belonging to the dismembered body found earlier this week.

Police have been notified and are investigating further.

It has been recommended that public stay away from the beach front as more body parts are yet to be discovered and it is becoming clear that they have been discarded on the beach.

This follows news this morning that a 46 year male has been arrested and police are currently searching flats and roads around the Richmond Road area of Southsea.

The victim has been identified and the next of kin have been informed.
