New Theatre Royal Looking For Young Writers
New Writing South and New Theatre Royal are recruiting for the Portsmouth Writer Squad.
Are you into rap, playwriting, short stories, lyrics, poetry or flash fiction? If so, they would love to hear from you.
NTR have places available for 13 – 17 year olds to join the monthly Portsmouth Writer Squad. Run by playwright, Dinos Aristidou, squad members produce inspirational work, meet other young writers and gain valuable writing skills.
How to enter
If you would like to apply to be part of the Squad, please send a short written piece in any genre (up to 500 words) inspired by the word ‘BANANAS.’

Deadline for applications is Tuesday 4 September. A selection workshop will take place on Tuesday 11 September at 4pm so make sure you’re available!
Squad meet once a month on Saturdays starting on Saturday 20 October 2012 at the theatre.
