Chimes Restaurant in Winston Churchill Avenue at the centre of Portsmouth provides a first-class teaching and learning environment. All food is prepared, cooked and served by our students of Highbury College as part of their course and is closely monitored by our highly professional staff.

The restaurant has achieved international acclaim, not just for its food and service, but for the synergy it gives between students looking for a place to develop their skills and talents in a real-world environment and diners looking for a fine experience.

Many of Chimes Restaurant’s students have gone on to work at the world’s top hotels and restaurants.

Chimes Restaurant seats 80 people and is operated by students in training, with menus designed to incorporate the full range of cookery and techniques studied by students.

The students can cater for all occasions, be it a quiet dinner, birthday celebration, small business lunch, or large corporate event, with facilities to encompass a full range of events.

The restaurant has its own loyalty card system, helping you to keep up with the latest from Chimes, accessing exclusive news and events and eating two-for-one on your tenth visit.

Chimes Restaurant is open all year round, offering themed dinners and events on certain dates and during various times of the year, from noon to 1:15pm (last orders) on weekdays and 6:00pm to 7:15pm (last orders) on Thursdays and Fridays.

Other times may be catered for. Call 02392 728 220 to make orders, bookings, or enquiries.

The Dorothy Dymond pay-and-display car park can be found at the rear of the building, which means that you only need to cross the road to get to Chimes.
