Shelley’s Story

Shelley’s journey into the health and fitness industry began with a love and passion for netball and athletics. Being fortunate enough to have played regionally for South England, Shelley learnt the demands of playing which lead her into fitness.

She studied Sport Science for the next five years, earning a BSc degree at the University of Brighton. With obtaining substantial knowledge, she took on the role of Sport Science Lecturer at City College Brighton and Hove.

Wanting to become more specialised as a personal trainer, Shelley targeted her business towards team sports, fitness challenges, and weight loss, with the focus on functional training. She lead an educating career with David Lloyd as a personal trainer for two years, proving successful and meeting memorable clients along the way.

She wanted to combine the two, leading her to her current role with Premier International Training. She worked as a fitness tutor, delivering and assessing personal training and CPD courses, ranging from studio cycling, suspension training, exercise to music, and sports massage.

Passionately teaching inspirational students how to become an effective personal trainer one day made Shelley think: “I need to join the movement myself!”

And now she’s back home on the south coast, where she’s now available for booking, running personal training sessions and fitness classes at Coastguard Studios in Southsea.
