Team Locals is what it says on the tin — a way of connecting businesses, people, events, and information in and about the local area into one big powerful team to ultimately make the city of Portsmouth a stronger and more enriching place to live and visit.
With simple location discovery being one of our core aims, we use our skills in social networking and social media, photography and filmography, graphic design, event organisation and promotion, and business marketing and branding to ultimately push events and businesses in the local area out to a larger audience in a way that is both helpful to residents and tourists, and beneficial to those who run the businesses and events.
Established in early 2012, Team Locals has already seen massive growth, accumulating roughly tens of thousands of unique visitors every month, alongside a social media reach of equal tens of thousands.
We’ve partnered with many events in Portsmouth in our short lifespan thus far, including The Southsea Show, the Rural & Seaside Show, Portsmouth Festivities, Tonic 2 Music Festival for Mental Health, South Coast Proms, and events organised by Portsmouth events movement Love Southsea, including their monthly Palmerston Road markets, Easter and Christmas markets in Gunwharf Quays, the Underground Creatives Market beneath Portsmouth Guildhall, and the Easter Eggstravaganza at the Hotwalls in Old Portsmouth.
Often, we’ve produced polished videos for these events, as well as promotional films for businesses who come aboard the Team Locals Directory, which offers a dedicated listing page, photography services, unlimited editorial, unlimited promotion through our social media influence across Facebook and Twitter, unlimited events listings, and snazzy graphics to make all of this content attractive, for a mere £45 per month.
