The team behind the 1st Portsmouth Air Festival have announced that they will be postponing the event until 2013.

The festival will now be in the summer of 2013 but promises to be bigger and better than was ever planned for 2012. We were gutted that the event has been delayed but can totally understand the reasons behind the decision.

With the Olympics in the area, Portsmouth playing Bournemouth on the same day and policing issues due to this it makes complete sense for the event to take a back step and re-plan there efforts for 2013.

The Air Festival team have done an amazing job so far and we know 1st hand how hard they have all worked to get this event even considered by Portsmouth City Council who have been fully supportive of the plans.

We can’t wait to see how this progresses to be a mega sized event in 2013 and we also hope the originally planned 2 day event with live music and additional features will be explored again.

Roll on summer 2013 as another event will show the UK what a great place Portsmouth is for events and culture!
