Portsmouth Football Club relaunch junior membership package
Portsmouth Football Club are delighted to announce that the Junior Membership package available for younger fans is being rebranded from what was formerly known as Nelson’s Crew to the much more recognisable and iconic ‘Junior Blues’.
Membership for Junior Blues will cost just £20 and benefits will include an exclusive pack full of Portsmouth Football Club (PFC) goodies, a visit to the PFC training ground, free entry to Pompey Ladies matches, discounts off of PiTC training courses, and the opportunity to be a match day mascot.
The scheme is part of an overall effort by the club, Pompey in the Community, and the Pompey Supporters Trust to engage more with younger fans and attract more to Fratton Park. It coincides with changes that are being made to the Family Section at Fratton Park — which from next season will be known as ‘Nelson’s Family Zone’.
Adam Lea, Commercial and Marketing Manager for Pompey in the Community, said: “With Portsmouth Football Club, The Pompey Supporters Trust and Pompey in the Community coming together to utilise its range of expertise to work as one, It is hoped the quality of the new membership package delivered to supporters will be recognised as a positive move.
“All three organisations recognise the importance of the next generation of fans and the contribution they can make to the future of this great football club and it is something that we want to address accordingly.”
Striker Conor Chaplin, ambassador for the Junior Blues, said: “Having grown up with Portsmouth Football, Junior Blues is something that I can really relate to. The excitement and anticipation of the pack and all of its goodies included will be something that hopefully a lot of younger fans will appreciate, and I’m looking forward to seeing the new and existing members throughout the new season.”
