Portsmouth Olympic Torch Relay on Southsea Common Event UPDATE including Locals Most Wanted & Rizzle Kicks

by

We are really proud to announce that local hip hop dance group ‘Most Wanted’ have been selected by the event organisers for the Portsmouth Torch Relay.

The event on Southsea Common in the evening of the 15th July starting from 5pm.

Most Wanted applied back in December 2011 to be part of the festivities and have just heard back on the great news. The group will be working with renowned choreographer Cathy Waller who has created an unique dance routine specifically for Most Wanted.

The group have been rehearsing the routine since June and will be performing just before ‘Rizzle Kicks’ who will be singing at the event.

Rizzle Kicks will be performing 2 or 3 tracks from their current album Steriotypical.

Most Wanted will also be appearing on the BBC channel CBBC at the end of August for new programme ‘Alesha’s Street Dance Stars’.

They auditioned at Pineapple Dance Studios and were selected from over 130 crews from all over the UK to appear on the show.

The group were filmed on June 17th where they were lucky enough meet Alesha Dixson herself. The exact date for the show has not yet been scheduled but it is due to be aired at the end of August 2021.

More information on the programme can be found here on the BBC programme homepage.

Not happy with this success Most Wanted will be entering in the Sky 1 programme ‘Got to Dance’ with the auditions coming up soon. We will keep you updated on their progress.
