Portsmouth is getting its very own vegan festival, taking place at Portsmouth Guildhall on Saturday 25th February, with over 100 stalls.

The day will encompass cooking demonstrations and fascinating talks, and the cuisines on offer are from all around the world, including Italian, Chinese, English, Malaysian, African, and more — not just enjoyable for vegans!

There’ll also be plenty of food and drink to take away, including cakes, milkshakes, chocolate, raw food, cheese, and free samples.

Other stalls will be selling and showcasing eco-friendly clothing, footwear, jewellery, gifts, and homeware.

Retailers include Debs’ Pantry, Bute Island, The Little Vegan Cookie Company, Koko, Go with the Fro, Badgers, The Vegan Cakery, Bute Island Foods, Vegan Deviant, Wear Your Voice, Good Full Stop, and Mr. Nice Pie.

The day’s programme even features a vegan body-building competition.

Festival organiser Victoria Bryceson said: “I’m really excited to be bringing our Vegan Festival to Portsmouth Guildhall.

“There hasn’t been a festival of its kind in the city since 2015 and I’m keen to make this an annual event. Everyone is welcome at our festival — we just want lots of people to be curious, while trying some tasty food and picking up some lovely products.”

The event is entirely not-for-profit, with all proceeds going to Miracle’s Mission, a UK-based charity who work with sick, injured, and difficult animals worldwide.

Portsmouth Vegan Festival takes place on Saturday 25th February from 11:00am through 5:00pm. Entry is £3.00, payable on the door on the day. Those aged under 16 are welcomed for free.
