Bike Doctor clinics offer free repairs for Portsmouth cyclists
Portsmouth City Council are offering Bike Doctor clinics with free check-ups and basic repairs for bicycles in the city.
The Bike Doctor sessions are run by a team of experienced bike mechanics, who’ll check everything on your bike from wheels and gears to brakes and lights. Any minor adjustments or basic repairs can be made on the spot.
In cases where repairs can’t be done during the Bike Doctor sessions, the mechanics will let you know what needs to be done and how much it will cost.
The clinics take place at the following locations and times, and no booking is required:
- Commercial Road, by the fountain, every Wednesday from 10:00am through 3:00pm
- Cosham High Street, every Monday from 10:00am through 3:00pm
Councillor Jim Fleming, Cabinet Member of Traffic & Transportation, said: “We are passionate about getting more people cycling in Portsmouth and offering a free checks and basic repairs is a great way of encouraging people to get back on their bikes.”
