Excellent Achievement From the Portsmouth College Sixth Form in Both A Levels and Level 3 Vocational Programmes
Students, staff and governors at Portsmouth College are again celebrating another set of excellent A Level and Level 3 Vocational results. 97% of students passed their qualifications and 49% achieved the highest grades of A*-B at A Level and Distinction*/Distinction on Level 3 Vocational Programmes.
The results have enabled students from across city partner schools and beyond, to move on to their chosen destinations, including their first choice university places, apprenticeships and employment.
Portsmouth City Council's Cabinet Member for Education, Cllr Suzy Horton, said: "Congratulations to all of Portsmouth's A Level and Vocational students — I know how committed they've been to their revision and they should be very proud of their results. I've spoken to many of them today and it's been great to find out their plans for the future. I can see that all their hard work through primary and secondary school — as well as college — has really paid off!"
Portsmouth College Principal, Simon Barrable, said: “I am extremely proud of all our Portsmouth College students for the excellent set of results they have achieved today. They are a testament to all the hard work, determination, resilience and sheer talent that our students possess in abundance!

Portsmouth College continues to grow in popularity due to its success in supporting students across a breadth of A Level and Vocational subjects. The College is also the city’s only Sixth Form College supporting Portsmouth pupils to study A Levels, Vocational courses or a combination of both.
