Gunwharf Quays fireworks headliners announced
Gunwharf Quays have announced two top British acts to perform at its fireworks display on Thursday 10th November. Popular girl band M.O. and renowned vocalist JP Cooper are set to wow crowds with two special performances in the lead up to the annual spectacular fireworks display.
Marking the start of the festive season and giving the opportunity for visitors to get a head start with Christmas shopping, the event is expected to attract thousands of spectators. The outlet stores will be open until 9pm and visitors are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
M.O are the stylish trio formed in 2012, bringing hits like Who Do You Think Of, with the aim of bringing old school 90’s music back. Performing at Wireless and recieving amazing feedback from stars in the names of Ed Sheeran, Little Mix and Jess Glynne, these girls are going places. Colin Wilding, General Manager at Gunwharf Quays, said: “With top performances, a spectacular fireworks display over the water and the first night of our extended opening hours for Christmas, we are expecting to welcome large numbers of visitors into the centre.
“We are advising guests to arrive early and to avoid traffic congestion to make the most of our excellent public transport links, in particular the Portsmouth Park & Ride which will be running extra buses to support the event.
“Our bars, restaurants and cafes will be open all evening, offering the perfect place to relax and enjoy the festive atmosphere ahead of the fabulous entertainment. With our new Christmas lights on display for the first time, and visitors able to enjoy shopping until 9:00pm, we’re looking forward to launching our Christmas campaign in style.”
Visitors are advised to use public transport, with train, bus, ferry and Hovertravel all within easy reach of the centre. Additional car parking is available in Wickham Street Car Park.
