Improvement works light up Portsmouth Guildhall

Portsmouth Guildhall will light up the night after a £50,000 investment from Portsmouth City Council.

The main feature of the project is the installation of a state-of-the-art LED light system over the main entrance.

Featuring 19 individual lights, the system will illuminate the front of the building in a range of colours and can be fully-programmed to allow different timings, lighting levels, and colour combinations.

As well as making the historic building look even more attractive, the new lights will save up to 75% per cent on energy bills compared to the old system.

Other work carried out includes maintenance to the ceiling above the main entrance area and improving accessibility to the site so that it is quicker and easier to do any future work.
