New trampoline arena Flip Out Portsmouth opens
The hotly anticipated Flip Out trampolining arena has finally opened in the north of Portsmouth.
The Portsmouth arena becomes the first of its kind to open on the south coast of England, and follows on from Flip Out centres opened in Bristol and Stoke by the company. The Australian born business has gone from strength to strength since CEO and owner Brent Grundy first launched just two years ago in Sydney.
Flip Out Portsmouth — located next to Tesco North Harbour on the Southampton Road, and next door to Portsmouth born businesses Wiggle — had been scheduled to open in November 2015, but following complications with a change of usage licence the opening was delayed.
Talking to Team Locals at an opening launch Tuesday 22nd December, Director Paul Papadatos said: “We’re over the moon to be opening before Christmas! It’s been a challenge to get things ready but we are more than pleased with the outcome.
“With the help of local traders, family and friends, and the rest of the Flip Out team we’ve managed to get the arena completed and are now looking forward to welcoming the general public.
“Tonight we’ve got the amazing Lewis Bartlett, a British trampolining champion, and freerunner group 3Run entertaining us and our guests ahead of tomorrows official launch date.”
Flip Out Portsmouth opens on 23rd December 2015 and can be found at Unit 4, Harbourgate on Southampton Road, Portsmouth. The arena is open from 9:00am to 10:00pm Sunday to Thursday, and 9:00am to 12:00am on Friday and Saturdays. The arena also features foam pits, a junior arena, half pipe, wall running area, basketball slam dunk wall, and will also cater for children and adult parties.
A one hour session costs £10 per person for all ages, and special grip socks (required by all participating) can be purchased on site for £1.50.
