HMS Queen Elizabeth meets with US Carrier Group off Scottish coast
Ahead of her first entry to Portsmouth, HMS Queen Elizabeth has met up with the USS George HW Bush and her carrier strike group off the coast of Scotland.
The Nimitz-class US carrier has more than 60 Royal Navy sailors and Royal Marines on board, who have been working with their US counterparts to hone carrier strike skills ahead of HMS Queen Elizabeth’s entry into service.

Help identify men lost at sea in the Battle of Jutland
The University of Portsmouth are asking the public for help with identifying men who died in the Battle of Jutland, as they publish a comprehensive naval database.
The database, which comprises records of men who died in the 36-hour battle which claimed 6,000 British lives, includes information on the names, ranks, service numbers, dates, and places of birth, and names and addresses of next of kin.
